This aromatic and full-bodied red wine grows in Apulia, deep in the south of Italy on the South coast of the Salento peninsula. The name of the DOC region is the town of Manduria. The Phoenicians were already growing wine here in the dry and hot climate. The Primitivo variety has adapted very well to the conditions and produces a deep-colored, purple-red wine. It smells of ripe red fruits, underlaid with various sweet spices. On the palate, it pleases with its large body and velvety tannins, which are supported by a fine oak note. To top it off, Brunilde di Menzione Primitivo di Manduria DOC was stored in barriques for another 12 months.
