75% of this 100% carmenere wine has spent time in oak (made up of 80% French oak and 20% American oak). The result is a wine with a nice strawberry and raspberry like aroma that is gracefully combined with subtle herb and spice touch. The palate is juicy and fresh while remaining rounded and with great texture with notes of light cedar from the oak ageing.The Colchagua Valley has evolved over the past 20 years from a quiet stretch of farmland to one of Chiles most important and active wine region! The low altitude of the coastal hills of Colchagua allows Pacific breezes to interact with the Andean winds, cooling the valley and extending the ripening period of the region, which helps to preserve the acidity of the grapes, producing reds with excellent colour, freshness and ageing potential.
