Special is a smooth strong and refined dark reddish ale that is well hopped. The Blue Anchor in Helston is one of only 4 brewpubs left in England that continues to brew on the premises. The 15th century Inn has over 600 years of brewing and quite the following for their legendary beer Spingo.

“As close to having a pint in the Blue Anchor as I can get at the moment, a lovely smooth flavour that doesn't hide it's strength, just needed Helston Town Band playing in the background and it would have felt like flora day!”
