Do not be mislead by the young age of this single malt only being 4 years old. It may change your mind as it is packed with flavour and character! Distilled at Bunnahabhain in 2014 and bottled by Duncan Taylor 4 years after resting. This bottling is to commemorate one of the most important landmarks found in the town of Huntly. Battlehill holds a historical significance in the battle for the thrown between Robert The Bruce and John Comyn, Earl of Bucna, who was one of the most powerful nobles in Scotland at the time. The battle took place on a hill at Slioch in Huntly which now has taken on the name Battlehill. The nose is lemon drop sweets backed with a little coastal peat. The palate is peaty, earth like oak and citrus that leads to a peppery finish and a lingering smoke.
