This Malbec is aged for 6 months in new and used French oak barrels. The result is a malbec that has an intense purple red presence and on the nose has aromas of violets. On the palate it is rounded, soft and velvet like with tannins and delicious notes of dry plum.Kaiken wines are named after a hardy goose that crosses the Andes between Chile and Argentina. In the same way that celebrated Chilean winemaking father and son duo team, Aurelio Montes and Aurelio Montes Jr. have done to make great wines that show the best of both sides of the Andes.
