Beaujolais Villages is from one of the better villages classified in the Beaujolais regions character. Few wine making regions can match the joyous exuberance of these lighter-bodied and exceptionally fruity floral red wines.An exuberant red fruity wine with juicy crushed strawberries, cherry characters and an intriguing savory twist. On the palate it is soft and approachable with vibrant acidity and mouthwatering floral, morello cherry finish.This wine would be a great pairing with BBQ sausages or even a hearty salad. An excellent wine for a summer picnic or alfresco dinning.

“Not being a huge red wine lover, I have always been recommended to try a Beaujolais/ Beaujolais Nouveau due to the young nature of the wine and thin skin of the gamay grapes used, the wine has little to no tannins. Initially opening and using an aerator for each glass I poured, I could slightly taste a small amount of tannins (to me, its the bitterness of the wine) and it was palatable with a fresh lovely red berry/ cherry taste. Thinking that was it, I left the bottle overnight before again trying it the next day, again using the aerator but this time there were no tannins at all and I really enjoyed it so much, I bought another two bottles! At slightly over 9 quid a bottle, this has changed my thoughts on Red wine and is an absolute bargain!”
