Kaiyo Cask Strength whisky is matured for eight years in Mizunara casks which are extremely rare and expensive. The Mizurana Oak must be at least 200 years old before if is able to be worked into barrels at the cooperage. Kaiyo means ocean in Japanese and this is fitting as, after maturing in Japan, it undergoes a sea voyage to the UK where its bottled. Floral honeyed nose with fresh fruit, hints of nutmeg and clove. Long spiced wood finish.
