A rich, ripe Cabernet from California with wild berry fruits and complimented by sweet vanilla oak. It has a lovely softness which makes it very accessible, long in the mouth with dark cherry and subtle oak notes on the finish. A great glass of wine which keeps you coming back for more! The grapes are sourced from Californias regions of Lodi and Manteca where the San Joaquin and Sacremento river deltas act a natural cooling influence on the vineyards. The reflects in the freshness of the fruit of the Cabernet. All blocks of Cabernet used and vinified separately and then blended to achieve the balance and structured required for this wine. The final blend is then given 6 months in wood to marry the blend and add weight. A novel name born out of the fact that wherever you go in America, Cabernet is ‘King’. The label reflects American card game and casino culture. The ‘Man with the Ax’ is the Poker nickname for the King of Diamonds.
