“As a young man my father worked on the sugar cane plantation near Demerara that supplied the Diamond distillery with raw cane. My interest in rums stem from this family connection. Tasting this rum was very disappointing experience. It lacked the character, depth and structure found in the El Dorado 15 year distilled in the same location or the Diplomatico from neighbouring Venezuela. The Kill Devil brand has not been well represented with this offering bottled in Scotland.”
