Ki No Bi ( The beaty of the seasons) Gin is made in a dry style but with Japanese accents. Conatins botanicals such as yellow Yuzu, hinoki wood, bamboo, Gyokuro tea and grenn sansho berries. They seperate the botanicals in their gin into six different categories; Base, citrus, tea, herbal, spice and floral and distill each category seperate before blending together to acheive the style and balanced required. A fresh aroma of yuzu, and a thread of sansho that lingers like a morning mist in a bamboo forest. The juniper complements and showcases the Japanese botanicals. Ginger root gives a slightly warming, spicy finish.

This bad boy is strong, I don't know if we were given the wrong bottle but it's 54.5% and not 45.7% as above! My usual 'neat' taste test of gins was a bit of a shock as I wasn't expecting it to be so strong! If you like Japanese tea (green tea), ginger and lemon/ citrus, then this is a must try gin! It is also made using the 'yuzo' fruit, a kind of cross between a grapefruit and lime which nicely leads me on to the perfect tonic for this, Luscombe Devon is made using Yuzo and enhances the gin very nicely!
