“This bottling is a UK exclusive bottling, and my second bottle from the Glendronach special releases. My first being a 1995 UK release matured in a PX Cask. This 1992 is a few years older, lower abv and matured in an Oloroso butt which suites me a little better than the 1995 (not that it is a bad dram). The 1992 has a very soft and warming nature, like the soft glow and warmth of an open fire just before bed. I find this needs almost no water, just a little lifts it a touch but it is very well balanced neat. The sherry influence is big and bold, just how I prefer my winter scotch. I like this a lot and I am unashamed to say I have two of these, well one and half now and by the time some of you read this I suspect that one of those will be winging its way to the recycling plant!”
