Chateau des Jaume is made in the small appellation of Maury in the Roussillon. Made by the passionate winemaker Charlie Faisant from 100% Grenache it displays a lovely nose of red berry fruits with some vanilla spice. The palate is full-bodied and smooth in the mouth, spicy with sweet red fruits which are balanced by elegant fine tannins. Superb with a good steak or blue cheese.

“Interesting wine. Has an dominant flavour of plumes. I agree with the comments stating a lack of body. However, I gave it 5 stars b/c of the price/value ratio. I bought some bottles for 4 EUR in a German supermarket. Does it really cost over 10 BP in the UK? Ridiculous. Being German I work frequently in the UK and am consistently mystified by the prices over there. Poor country. And it will get worse after leaving the EU.”
