Sharish Blue Magic Gin 50cl Reviews

5 Rating 2 Reviews
Read Drink Finder Reviews

Sharish Blue Magic gin turns from blue to a lovely soft pink colour when tonic, or a citrus based liquid, is added. All of this is achieved without the need to use artificial colouring due to one of the botanicals. Clitoria Ternatea, a flower better known as Blue Pea, gives the gin its blue colour and is the reason it turns pink. The gin is distilled in Alentejo, Portugal and contains 100% Portuguese fruit, namely lemons, strwberries and raspberries.

So, after the first time I bought a bottle, I ended up buying three more, one for my Sister, one for my Aunty and another one for myself! For me, it's parma violet sweets all the way with this fine gin and as a kid, I loved parma violets! I test my gins neat to start off with, see how they are by themselves and this is a very smooth gin.....although, why would you drink it neat.........you wouldn't get the colour change!

It may be a 'Gimmick', Gin that changes colour when the tonic is added but that is not the only thing Sharish Blue Magic Gin is hiding...........for me, with Walter Gregor tonic, this smooth gin tasted of 'Parma Violets' and was magical! For taste alone, this has jumped into my top 5 of gins..........and I have tasted/ collected a lot of gins! If you liked Parma Violets as a kid, and if you still like them.....try a bottle!
