This is less aromatic than Antica Formula, with aromas of citrus fruits and vanilla. Spicy and harmonious with the botanicals, smooth and unique taste. The colour is obtained from 100% natural burnt sugar, which also aids the aromatic nose. Contains no artificial colouring, preservatives or additives.

“Carpano Classico was introduced to me by the bar tender at the Hotel Inghilterra in Rome. The gin can be anything, although some prefer Tanqueray or Beefeater. I fill one a Cumbrian Crystal grasmere-design double old fashioned glass with bought ice cubes fresh out of the freezer, then add 30ml each of Carpano Classico, Campari, and gin in that order; stir well, add the orange slice or peel if available, and leave for 5 minutes to allow the ice to start melting – this last is essential, as it really enhances the taste. Of course, this then gives you the time to set up the music, radio, or Kindle for reading and the preparation of a few nibbles (e.g. ‘home-made’ popcorn). Finally, sip! This one drink can last half-an-hour. By the way, I challenge anyone to be able to drink more than two of these! I certainly can’t.”
