A beautiful wine made from Corvina and Merlot grapes which have been semi dried in wooden creates, Appassimento. During this process the grapes will loose 50% of their original weight in water, thus concentrating the colour, aromas and flavour of the wine. The two wines ae then blended together in February after the vintage, with 50% of the wine being aged in first and second uses American and French barriques for 12 months.The wine has a lovely and intense ruby-red color with a bouquet reminiscent of cherries, dried fruit, chocolate and prunes. On the palate it is full-bodied, soft and round, with a pleasant spiciness and an amazingly long and lingering finish.
