Very popular over-proof rum from Walter Hicks Brewery (St Austell Brewery). In recent years the most famous Walter Hicks spirit. The 125 Navy Rum, which at 125 proof (71.40%). After a long hiatus the Walter Hicks 125 Navy Rum has returned. The eagle eyed lover will notice that it is considerably lighter than the previous release. The new blend brings the rum back in line with releases previous to that. The Walter Hicks recipe features a carefully selected blend of aged rums up to five years old from Trinidad and the Dominican Republic, delivering depth, smoothness, and character. These are complemented by the vibrant, unaged pot still rums of Jamaica and Cornwall, bringing a lively, estery intensity to the blend. Adding a final touch of finesse is a light, unaged rum from Guyana, contributing subtle sweetness and lift. All distilleries are undisclosed. The result is a complex and versatile spirit that captures both heritage and innovation rich enough to sip, yet bright and characterful for mixing.

Outstanding Rum for hardcore sip and savourers. Fantastic over ice brings out the best from it. NOT for necking.

Ex matelot 1960's. Came across this in a proper pub this year. Though I have to get a bottle asap. Very 'tot' like. Got the fire a great rum should have, a definite sip and savour and a cut above the crowd. Not one for the sweet sugary brigade. Proper Job from a Cornish Brewer. Pun intended lol
