Gravity GMSQC1B Quick Coupler for Mic Clips and Boom Arms Details The Gravity GMSQC1B is a coupler that is designed for quick and effortless microphone clip and/or boom arm mounting. Consisting of both aluminium and steel, this two-piece coupler features a 5/8'' female thread that attaches to the mic stand and a 3/8'' male thread that attaches to mic clips and boom arm hubs. The smart groove and ball plus hex lock design ensures solid coupling and perfect alignment. The GMSQC1B comes complete with a dual thread adapter to ensure universal compatibility with a mic stands, clips and boom arms.

“Functionality, ease of use, and design compared to competing products in this category are all top notch. It makes attaching the shock mount of my condenser mic much less precarious, and has the added benefit of making it easier to mount the mic at the perfect angle. I really liked that the half that gets screwed into the mic mount/clip is available to purchase separately to make it quick and easy to swap mics. My only criticism of the design is that I wish the half that attaches to the mic stand was shorter. It adds a fair bit of height to short table stands, making mine a bit too tall for practical use. Good that it comes with a 3/8 to 5/8 inch adapter. Also of note, when mine first arrived it was very cold from being in the delivery vehicle. Cold temperatures cause the internal lubrication to gum up, making me initially think my unit was defective. Once it warmed up to room temperature it started working properly.”
