The body of the stove is made well and very strong. The flame effect is OK but comes with a very loud hum that gives you a headache. The "glass" front is made of 1mm perspex that is a complete joke considering how well made the body is made. Why use 1mm thin perspex when the body is made of quality cast iron! This is the second time I have been asked to write a review for this product (maybe they hoped I would leave the negative comments out the second time! I would not recommend this product until they remove the constant hum and replace the "glass" with a real glass or a decent piece of perspex.

We have replaced an existing wood burning stove after 35 years of glorious warmth .. But age has caught up with us and cleaning the old and feeding it regularly has made it very difficult to manage Hence the purchase of this look alike stove .. WE LOVE. It - no more dust ,no more jumping up to put another log on .Remote control is fantastic … Amazing change to our lives - many thanks.

The stove was delivered on the promised date - the pallet was dropped off on the road at the end of my drive and the driver could not get away fast enough, not even asking me to sign a delivery note. Vehicles had to navigate around the pallet while I dragged it onto my drive - poor customer care and no consideration of my safety. The stove was very well packed using robust materials to protect it in transit. Assembling the stove was impeded by the incorrect sequence of assembly instructions - I had to double back and remove a major component to complete the assembly. I suggest that Direct Stoves make the corrections and reprint the booklet. Once assembled and operated from the 'remote' it worked correctly and looks visually appealing. Satisfied with the product once assembled.
