“VERY DISAPPOINTED. AFTER ONLY 2 WEEKS OF USE THE OPENING HANDLE PAINT IS RUBBING OFF AND DIRECT STOVES CUSTOMER SERVICE REALLY VERY UNHELPFUL. MANY EMAILS LATER AND ALL THEY HAVE OFFERED IS SPRAY PAINT FOR ME TO REPAINT A NEW WOODBURNER. WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND NOT VERY IMPRESSED WITH STOVAX QUALITY. THIS WOODBURNER WAS £1400 SO EXPECTED IT TO BE OF BETTER QUALITY”

Sorry that you feel you've had a poor experience with us. Paint on a stove doesn't cure till the stove has been fired a few times. So when you get a new stove the paint is soft and can sometimes rub off in areas such as the handle. It's not guaranteed to happen but it can do as it has with your stove. If we sent a new handle the situation would be the same so the easiest solution is to send some paint to give the handle a little spray. It's a 30 second job. We weren't suggesting you repaint the whole stove it's just a little dusting over the handle. This issue with paint isn't unique to Stovax but can happen on any brand of stove, particularly when the handle is painted.
