Thank you for your review. We're pleased to hear that you've been impressed with the burn on your Woodford Loxry 5XL stove.
Regarding the ash and concerning this particular model, we have only had similar remarks in the past where the firebox has been overloaded with logs.
The supplier acknowledges that, "whilst burning solid fuel, it can be beneficial to occasionally riddle the grate bars so any burnt fuel will fall between the grate bars into the ash pan".
Otherwise, adjusting the number of logs loaded in and/or the air controls to affect the burn rate can be beneficial.
