“People have laughed about me buying this kindling splitter saying it's a gimmick but it has been perfect for me because I don't think I would be very good with an axe. I use it to split smallish logs into 2 or 3 bits that I use for starting my fire before adding briquettes. The briquettes seem to burn hotter and they last longer so i want to use as little chopped wood as possible before switching to them. So pleased I splashed out on it. It will definitely be a saving for me eventually as I am now almost halving the amount of wood to get the fire going.”
