“My wife and I bought this Flare Vitesse inset electric fire to replace similar inset electric fire but with a brass surround and grate. Our fire place is a light limestone hearth and surround. We wanted to replace the brass fittings for a polished Chrome finish which this new fire did.
The fire was supplied with a Matt black surround which pushed it out too far from the fire place facia.
This ruined the look of it unfortunately and I had to return it.
On the credit side, the supplier was very helpful organising the return through DPD. No problem here.
I was a bit surprised, that I am getting a bill for £40 to return it. I have no problem with this as it was our decisión to return it and not a fault of the unit.
We are now very happy with an ‘exchange unit’ which came very quickly prior to us flying out to Spain.”

To clarify, while the Flare Vitesse electric fire which you ordered does come with a black spacer as standard, the installation of this is completely optional. The Vitesse has a 90mm inset which can either a) be installed within a cavity space or chimney breast if there is enough depth or b) be brought out in front of the fireplace and concealed with the spacer, if the customer does not have a 90mm deep cavity.
