I would also like to know that the double-sided tape used to fix the bumper protector to the car bumper, would it damage the car bumper finish?”

The tape is automotive standard tape and is designed to keep the protector in place. The product has been designed to remain on the car so we'd advise against removing. It is possible to remove and if done carefully there should be no damage to the paint work assuming that the paintwork was in good condition before application. Gentle heat will also help with removal.
