“The cupcakes look delicious but although they were delivered on Tues (my son's bday) we have only collected them today. He did not know they had been delivered (I was notified but he has to wait for an email from Lancaster Uni porter's office to be able to collect them). As they were a surprise for his birthday I didn't want to chase it up and the university say that they do not accept fresh foods so although it was delivered, nobody informed my son. Consequently, when we went to collect my son today and I went to enquire about them, they were sitting in the porter's office due to go into his bin at the end of the day! We are hoping that they are still edible as they look delicious but I think it is worth knowing all of this to stop this from happening to other families when sending gifts to the uni. My son thought that we had forgotten about him on his birthday!”
