“Very good Dermatica Restoring Ceramide Skin Balm that Moisturizes & Conditions all Skin Types. I really like it it feels nice and soft it Rebalances & Hydrates Dry Skin, Minimizes the Appearance of Pores (13g).I love that is cakes on a small container easy to open and smells gorgeous no oily as well.”
“This balm by Dermatica is similar to Vaseline in appearance but it is much softer and more of a cream mix, easier to spread across the skin, it also does not leave that heavy, sticky residue. The balm does not fully absorb into the skin but rather sits on top of it, locking in the moisture underneath, so it's good to put your serums and moisturisers on first and then apply this on top in a thin layer once those have absorbed. It's good for any skin types if you suffer from constant, occasional dryness or even just a few dry patches. I have oily skin but get dry skin around old breakouts often so I use this as more of a targeted treatment and wake up with plump and hydrated skin (though it will not get rid of dry patches or peeling skin over-night but it will speed up the process of the skin regenerating thanks to moisture).”
“This is a very slippy, moisturising, occlusive balm that is perfect to put on those occasional dry spots on the face (or elbows, or cuticles... no one says you can't!). It has texture a little similar to Vaseline but feels much more moisturising and less oily. Even with combination skin, I have found use for it in my routine (especially as I begin retinol) and it's the perfect size to keep in my handbag for on the go. For the price, I'd absolutely recommend this.”
“This is a hydration balm to help repair and calm dry or damaged skin, made by Dermatica and developed in conjunction with dermatologists. Its supposed to have restorative as well as protective qualities, while being fragrance free and suitable for sensitive skin. This came in a nice little box, while the balm itself is in a round tin to make it easy to use or to take on the go for convenient reapplication. The main benefit of this moisturiser is the ceramide power, so the brand suggests it can help with plumping, hydration, brightening, softening, and reducing fine lines. This is also an emollient product that acts as a barrier for the skin to protect it against irritants in the environment. Its nice as easy to use by just applying a thin layer on your any dry patches of skin. As its a small tin, its really more for concentrated areas. Whats a bit different is that you use it after your moisturiser, morning and evening, so make sure its used after your regular moisturiser so it can seal in the goodness and provide that protective barrier. Apparently you can also use this a a lip or cuticle balm, too, so its more versatile than Id imagined.Ive been using this on certain areas of my face that can get a little red and dry, as well as some areas of dryness on my legs. I use it quite sparingly as its a small 13g tin but thankfully you dont need too much, just enough to get a thin layer on those key areas. Ive tried it as a lip balm just to see what its like and is does have that petroleum jelly feel to it thats instantly soothing. This seems to calm soreness from dry or rough patches pretty quickly. One bit of dryness on my leg was driving me mad as it felt itchy. I applied the balm in the evening and resisted any scratching, and the next day it looked and felt better than it had, despite having not previously responded to a popular skin product in the medicine cupboard Id previously used. For my face, this does seem to reduce some redness (potentially related to autoimmune problems), but I think I might need to keep using it to keep the redness at bay. It has definitely left my skin smoother and softer, which Im really pleased with. I also like that you can use this as a lip balm, cuticle balm and on any dry/damaged skin on the body or face, so its not just for facial skin.Ive thankfully had no problems with this and no side-effects. Id say it seems quite gentle, but dont be deveined by the small size because its appears to be pretty powerful at healing dryness and boosting skin health.”
“This stuff is OK, but there is petroleum jelly in it, so I would beware as it can clog pores and can irritate sensitive skin. Conversely, other people with sensitive skin will find this great. But there are other more natural options which are non-comedogenic, so I wouldn't recommend this above others.I find it a bit too heavy for my face, but nice on the lips as it is softer and lighter than a tub of Vaseline. I have very sensitised skin on my shins sometimes, where it gets dry and itchy. I will try this on there, but with the size of the tin it wouldn't last beyond a few applications. This is too expensive, I think.”
