Hello Tony, Thanks for your review. We can assure you that all of our products are originals and are directly purchased from the manufacturer. Any differences in quality would, unfortunately, be down to TePe and changes they have made to the product. However, in this case, it could be down to the fact that you have purchased the TePe extra soft interdental brushes which have much more soft and gentle filaments compared to the original TePe brushes. Please do contact us if you have any questions. Thanks, Dental Direct Team

My hygienist recommended changing to the TePe extra soft as I have Lichen Planus and it makes my gums sore. Would highly recommend the soft version.

I liked the fact that they were soft and able to reach areas of my teeth that the ordinary brushes can't, however I found that the tiny bristles were prone to come out of the brushes and stick in between my teeth! Very annoying!

Working in the dental industry I found a lot of patients didn’t like the normal TePe’s ie the sensation they give between the teeth. I know that feeling too. So quite pleased to have a softer option. 5* for the extra soft. With the extra soft I feel that a size larger than the regular that one uses would be more beneficial. At the end of the day it’s subjective. People know what they like and don’t like.
