“Booked a VR Room, nobody there on arrival, staff on other desks refused support until a minute before then 1 person turned up - then WORSE we checked into go karting 90 mins ahead of the session, I then came to the desk 20 mins ahead of the session having completed everything early to them be held in the queue & refused service when I flagged that our session was going to start. I was told “you'll miss your session then”, by the receptionist I’d stood in front of for 20 mins, same person who set us up… we had 6 children with us, they had the balaclavas & were told to go into the briefing area before being PULLED out of the zone due to there being an issue with the waivers that we completed - (they were not showing on screen despite completing them, we even re signed up in front of them & they acknowledged that the names weren’t coming up), we pulled the entire group of 10 (6 kids 4 adults) out to be told that we weren’t karting as we were too late & missed our slot. The receptionist was so dismissive & rude, once a minute had passed she seemed to take genuine glee in telling me “it’s not happening”
The receptionist then walked away saying “I’m not dealing” and a manager who had only just started stepped in & attempted to move to a slot that was so late we were unable to attend, hours later. Surrounded by kids who handled it pretty well they then informed us as I had booked online I had to get a refund online - another manager then handed me his mobile phone & asked me to read my card details out in full in the middle of the room (I didn’t have my card so couldn’t but thought it was worth mentioning this weird ask) after 30 mins at the desk (and 20 in the queue despite checking in 90 mins before) - nearly an hour in total, no resolution.
I’ve previously made a large corporate booking at this event space & definitely won’t be booking here again & I still don’t have my money back.
The staff at every threshold were either entirely dismissive or annoyed to be there.”
“Love....Love...Love!!! We had so much fun as a family here. We got here really early before our booking times (booked in advanced) and it was really quiet( just how i like it), we parked in the southside carpark, and it was really easy to get to through the shopping centre.
It was only us four Karting which made my youngest son feel more at ease. They provide lockers where you put a pin in so no fussing about to find change.
We were able to start our bowling and golf earlier as we were ready and this was not an issue at all for staff. They were friendly and made us all feel so welcome. We met PJ one of the managers here and he was amazing, funny, friendly and so helpful and went above and beyond to assit us.
The atmosphere in Gravity is very easy going no hustle and bustle like some trips or outings in the summer holidays but also adventurous!
It got busy throughout the day but it was manageable and not crammed. There's places to sit and chill with a drink or slushie or even to have something to eat.
We ended up doing the karting, golf, bowling, amusements and VR gaming and I can honestly say it's been the best day of the summer holidays and would highly recommend anyone to come here young or old!
