“There are toilets at the woods, at the entrance to the car park. There is also the Bull pub right next door and normally a food van parked up who h does great hot and cold food and drinks. There are some seats outside the van and usual picnic benches.
The parking isn’t cheap but I can’t fully comment as I walk there, I’m lucky enough to be just a 5 minute walk away.
The play park has recently been revamped and is much better. There is a sand pit part so bear that in mind. Swings, slide, a smaller climbing bit for little children and a wooden tower for older children to climb. The play park is towards the back of the car park.
The woods themselves are lovely, quiet and huge! There are trails to be followed but lots of little pathways to take. Just bear in mind where you are but phone signal is quite good to check maps if you’re not sure.
A great day out that can be very cheap if you want it to be.”
