“I've visited several times with the family and we have always enjoyed the Rural Life Centre. There's so much there, you see something new every time. I love that it's full of everyday things from the past as well as items relating to rural life from the past. There's always a peaceful atmosphere and all of the volunteers are so friendly and obviously care a great deal about the place.”
“We visited with our one year old and had a really good time. It was a bank holiday and we decided to have lunch in the cafe which was very busy, but we had a nice meal. We also visited the cafe later for cake, which was delicious. Although I'm personally not that interested in the sorts of exhibits here the way that there are lots of different buildings with grassy areas and benches outside meant that I could stay outside if I wanted to while my husband could look at bits of old engines and machinery! Our son loved the old-fashioned playground. We went on the miniature train which was good and the driver was friendly and knowledgeable. We found it fairly easy to get around with the pushchair and could take it inside most of the buildings without any issues. Baby changing facilities were easy to find. Overall this was a great day out with lots of variety, definitely would recommend.”
