“ook my 11 month old granddaughter there today. Very warm welcome, excellent detail on the laminated guides. Informative video. I mean, you COULD walk round in 10 minutes, but you'd miss most of the detail. We wheeled round for a good 40 minutes, marvelling at the butterlies, looking at the pupa with butterflies coming out; and the whole exotic nature of the butterflies as amazing. I got pictures that I'd never get, my daughter considered it a real hidden gem. My granddaugher was enthralled! Very highly recommended.
PS, Reviews about the car park are, frankly, ridiculous - pretty obvious you have to pay for parking (£3!) and it's all very straightforward. The parking is ran by an app-business. Really easy to do, it even warns you that you're , to mark down on that basis is farcical.”
“Purchased a parking ticket and entered the butterfly zoo done everything we could within an hour and 2 weeks later got a parking fine so appealed with photo of purchased ticket to be told appeal unsuccessful and I have to pay the fine anyway
PLEASE AVOID AS NOW COST ME £60 and nothing I can do about it apparently !!!”
“Came here a few weekends ago with my two daughters. The butterflies were lovely! So many different colours and some were so big! We even had some land on us! It's also hot in the zoo, so leave coats at home. Staff are knowledgeable and attentive and lend you some sheets and a magnifying glass when you go in, so you can find all the different species. The maze was good fun too, took us ages to get out! And they do joint tickets. I waited a few weeks before posting this to see if I too got a parking fine, but I am yet to receive one (Over three weeks now) Just make sure you pay the appropriate fees and enter the full registration and don't overstay the time. You even get a concession with the parking to take a bit of money off your admission fee. I really couldn't fault any part of the experience and will continue to go back. Also the ice-cream shop is lovely.”
