“We had a wonderful day as the grandchildren could climb on the walls, investigate tunnels and run! Our oldest grandson had a go at archery which he loved and the plays around the history of the house when some children could be involved were great. Oh, and the cake was good too! We are hoping for a return visit very soon.”
“We regularly nip over to Kenilworth as we live in Leamington so it isn't far for us. The castle offers a lovely afternoon walk. The facilities and grounds are always immaculately kept and there are often re-enactments and activities during the day for the kids. I would say that access can be an issue, we took my elderly grand mother and by nature of the castle, it was really heavy going for her. But thankfully there is a nice pub over the road where she could rest her legs!”
“We visited last December (my two year old, my husband and I) between Christmas and New Years on a cold, sunny day and it was brilliant. If you don't know anything about the castle it's worth noting that it's not a full castle like Warwick Castle, but several partial buildings, ruins, a Tudor garden and bird cage with only the old gatehouse surviving. But a perfect blend of something picturesque and fun to explore / run around for the toddler! We had a nice lunch in the converted stables and bought some traditional sloe gin from the shop on the way out :) Will definitely visit again”
