“Nothing more than just your average pool, with a wave machine. I'm a local, so I use this pool regularly with a small child but wouldn't recommend going out of your way to travel to this pool
The flumes have not worked for years and I doubt they will ever be repaired. Please do not come with the expectation that they are operational. The smaller children's slide has been completely removed, however, the larger slide (two slides) remains working but cannot be used if children are under 1 meter and/ or cannot swim as a barrier prevents parents from going to the bottom of the slide. The sprinklers are also hit-and-miss as to whether they will be working, so again do not go on the expectation that they will be. The pool can also be a little cold, with many small children visibly shivering.
I would also recommend taking cash just in case the card machine is not working, as this can sometimes be the case. You also need a £1 coin for the lockers.
Plus side, changing rooms are ok and are generally clean, as are the showers.”
“Took my boys here today as I used to swim here as a child. They were looking forward to the two flumes and the wave pool. On entrance to the leisure centre there was a sign explaining that the flumes were not working today. When I asked the lady behind the counter she said that they had not worked for four years!! I explained that this was not on the website. She said it was but I had to press another button to see that! Funny!
The boys had a great swim but the website needs updating and an engineer needs to be called. It shouldn’t take four years to fix something!!”
