“Our recent visit to Chester Zoo was an absolute delight! From start to finish, the experience was smooth and enjoyable. Purchasing tickets online was incredibly easy, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that parking was both ample and, even better, free – a real bonus these days!
While, like anything, we'd always appreciate a lower price point, we completely understand the immense costs involved in running such a magnificent establishment and feel the value for money is certainly there. The zoo itself is fantastic, with well-maintained enclosures and a vast array of animals that captivated us for hours. We left feeling thoroughly entertained and educated. Highly recommended for a fantastic family day out!”
“The day out to Chester zoo was amazing, hadn't been in years. Think my daughter was 4 years old. She is now in her late 20's. I didnt manage to see all the sections. So another day will be planned before the winter starts.”
“Lovely ZOO, very big and clean. Plenty of break stops on the way. Photos available by most of encounters and reasonable prices. Will definitely go back as you need at least two days to check out everything without rushing.”
“It's a large site, so lots of walking, but kids (9 and 12) had a great time. Plenty of green areas for stopping for a sit down if required, though if weather had been wetter or hotter more shaded/covered areas would have been appreciated.”
“We were impressed with the quality of the habitats in most cases and the mindful focus on conservation throughout. Amazing to see the wonderful animals in a well designed zoo. Besides the food court mixing up an order (a garden burger rather than a soya burger) I couldn't really fault it.”
“It’s years since we’ve been to Chester zoo and we were really looking forward to visiting with our 2 year old grand daughter. The zoo was sadly lacking in animals to see. The tickets were expensive and we definitely didn’t feel they were value for money. Unfortunately it will be a long time before we go back.
Compare this day out to a visit to the ‘free’ Manchester museum where you could see loads of animals - admittedly stuffed but right there close up and a great variety on show. We will definitely be going back there.”
