“Came here 3 years ago and took a tour inside. It was so brilliant to be inside such a massive place! The kids really loved being there and seeing all the different types of rooms. They loved the changing of the guards the best. It's good value for a family ticket. I would recommend not parking nearby since it is so busy. Best to park further away and then take public transport in. Also, arriving earlier in the day is nicer to give the whole family more time in the gardens.”
“Visited in early September and we caught the last admission time 4-15 pm so not crowded at all which was great! The State rooms are awesome, my favourite was the Ballroom built for Queen Victoria and venue for those Knighting ceremonies so often seen on TV. The audio guides were brilliant and the Kids audio guide includes games in each room such as eye spy (shows a picture of something in the room and the kids have to find it) as well as other little related games and age appropriate audio and visual presentations. There is also a family pavilion in the gardens at the end which had fun activities for the kids and adults to do all related to the tour. You are not allowed to take photos whist inside but you may take them in the gardens(which are also stunning) and family pavilion.”
