“I love this little park. I live locally but due to medical things I don't get out as much as I should. However when it's not raining, or heaven forbid, the sun is shining I like to go for a walk round it.
Lovely big pond with swans every year, large playground for the kids, a BMX track and a small 'training' track for kids to learn how to ride a bike, some basic fitness machines, a sit in cafe with a kiosk for ice creams, hotdogs etc (it's very pricey but I suppose they've a captive audience), plenty of parking, I think the little animal zoo is still running as well...... and lots of well kept green grass to relax on or for your dog to run around.
The large hill also comes in handy during sledging season but I'm too old for that now.
Just a nice, pleasant park and it's nice to see families enjoying themselves. Very glad to have it relatively nearby.”
“Good place for dog walkers, kids... Anyone really. However the cafe is seriously over priced and the staff are quite rude from my experiences! Also feel there should be better toilet facilities as every time I've been they've either been so disgusting or closed! Zoo and wall gardens not the same as it used to be though which is sad.”
