“If you do only one thing with your family this year, take them to Tubary Woods owl sanctuary. There are loads of owls and other birds of prey kept in beautiful conditions. But the high spot is the flying session which is as interactive as it is possible to get. The sanctuary is run by volunteers whose enthusiasm is almost tangible. They are informative and funny and ensure that everyone gets a chance to interact with the birds. It is also brilliant value for money.”
