“I saw the one star review on this and felt I had to write a review as I don't think it does Lochore any justice. I don't know when it was written but the main building is now open and it's nice to sit in or outside after a good long walk with a hot chocolate and a bag of chips. I would say that Lochore is one of the best places you can take your children for a day out. The outdoor play area for the kids is suitable for all ages and the first time I visited I was pleasently surprised by the size of the slides, I just had to go down them with my son as well! You can also walk through the woods, there are cycle paths there too. Or you can walk/ cycle around the lake which is about 3.5 miles and nice to do on a clear and sunny day. You can buy some food for the geese in the main building and feed them on the beach. You can fish in the lake and also hire out boats during the summer (age restrictions apply). It is an idyllic setting and perfect to go out on lovely walks as a family. You could spend a whole day there. I visit about once a week and drive about 20 minutes to get there. It is honestly mine and my son's favourite place to go and I would highly recommend heading there in the morning and spending the day there. The other food options in the cafe can be a bit pricey, I normally stick to a hot chocolate, cup of tea and a bag of chips. But sometimes I bring a pack lunch as well so you don't necessarily need to spend money. There are numerous areas you could sit and eat.”
