“On 12th March I wrote to you as follows: Thank you for supplying the three orders I have placed with you recently. I would like to make a suggestion for your website. It would be helpful if you could included drawings, or at least diagrams, showing the dimensions of the lampshade components; I refer particularly to the rings and the shade carriers. The centre ring of the US shade rings I bought from you is ¾" below the outer ring. I imagined that the centre ring of the duplex ring would be similarly offset, but it is in fact offset 60mm, almost 2½". When I ordered the 10" shade carrier, I was not certain whether this dimension was the total height of the carrier, or merely the offset of the duplex ring from the lamp ring. I ordered a 10" carrier and hoped for the best. What I have bought will work all right, but were I to re-order these items knowing what I now know, I would choose an 8" carrier: it would be more suitable for the lamp I have. Dimensioned diagrams would remove all this uncertainty, give greater clarity and be really helpful.”
