“Good kit, I made two oval lampshades successfully, but the oval kit would benefit from some additional instructions because of differences vs a circular shade (the instructions are for circular shades). For example, for an oval shade, the join/seam needs to be at the back of the shade. This means you need to measure the halfway point of your fabric/sticky plastic, and place the middle of the lampshade frame there, before you start rolling, so the join ends up in the middle at the other side. I didn't realise this so the first lampshade I made has the seam/join at the side. It's not an issue for circular shades, as you can just turn the shade so the seam is at the back, but obviously you can't do this with an oval!”

“This kit is excellent. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I made the lampshade quickly and everyone remarks on how it looks as though it came from a shop. I’ll definitely try another one.”
