“Extraordinary beautiful ballet shoes. I chose the black and the vegan microfibre split soles are also a sumptuous deep black, and with their distinctive and unique floral insert fabric mid-sole, they are absolutely stunning. My first pair were a size 6 but were too big (I still wore them by tightening the drawstring and they were fine for my purposes), this pair are a 5.5 which is one size up from my regular street shoe size and fit perfectly- hurrah! They're canvas, have pre-sewn elastics (I think all shoes do now which is a bonus), they stretch comfortably across my toes and foot at its widest point. I have dancer's feet- ie, bunions- yet despite being I'd say a medium width, they accommodate the dratted protrubances really well. Also, due to their being black, they visually minimize the mishapen breadth of my foot (imagine 2 plaice if you will, swimming in opposite directions, and you have my smackers). I hope Dance Direct always stock these, I don't wear any animal by- products and with shoes as magnificent and functional as Basilica's vegan beauties, who would need to? I cannot recommend them highly enough.”
