Masutani V10 Nakiri Reviews

Read Cutting Edge Knives Limited Reviews

Night and day - the black pakka wood handle and steel rivets beautifully offset the tall block of a blade that has a unique mottled pattern and flowing lines showing off the exposed steel layers and cutting edge on each and every one. Despite looking a bit like a meat cleaver, the nakiri style of knife is meant for chopping veg, it has a very flat cutting edge and the height enables good knuckle clearance and the blade is perfect for scooping large amounts of veg into a pot.

Razor sharp when I received it , I used to chop about 20 onions a few peppers and some chilli's along with a few other bits and pieces of veg .....love it but I would say it needs honed more than I thought it might

My first purchase with Cutting Edge & my first Japanese knife. I cannot fault either the service or the knife & will definitely use them again when I buy my next knife.

I have bought a few knives from Cutting edge Knives previously, a couple from different Masakage ranges. They are always stunning and arrive quickly and in great condition. I recently ordered a Masutani V10 Nakiri, I thought that at the value end of the spectrum there wasn’t much to lose but my expectations were limited. I have to say that the Masutani is AMAZING! It’s heavier than my other knives but otherwise it is on par with the other ranges I have from Cutting Edge Knives and other makers like Blenheim Forge. The value of this range is unbelievable.
