“Learned a lot on this course and found it interesting. I enjoyed doing the quizzes at the end of each unit and this helped me prepare for the final quiz, which I passed first time and only got 2 questions wrong. Another aspect of this course that I found useful was that I could go back to each unit and go over it again and this helped me to retain the information.”

“The course is very infomartive and widens understanding of what will be going on with clients involved in misusing substances. It clarifies the correlations or links that negatively result in social family challenges and the link between substance misuse and parental domestic violence witnessed by children in child protection cases. It furthermore paints a paint picture of family life and lived experiences of people living with someone who is addicted to substances. Finally it informs the challenges that the misuser experiences due to cravings, the lilikhood of relapse during recovery periods and strategies and professional support needed to ensure effective recovery of the client.”
