I went with Zenith in the beginning as they were very competitive price wise. All was good until they did a random check on my insurance and asked me to send various documents for checking. Unfortunately they did this by letter only (no email contact) and it was over Christmas and New Year when I was away. As a result, I missed the comply by date, but when I called immediately on my return I was told it would be fine. Several days later I received another letter to inform me that as I had not complied on time, my insurance had been cancelled the day before. When I contacted Zenith again, they were as confused as me and said that the underwriters were in charge of this and had carried this out despite my contact and reassurances from Zenith. Zenith informed me that their underwriters refused to make contact in any way other than post and would not compensate me for the extra insurance I had to take out whilst it was sorted or for the inconvenience of driving around unknowingly for a day without insurance. Eventually I wrote to Zenith to complain about this. Zenith were very good and then paid me back for the extra insurance I had to buy and gave me compensation of £100 for the inconvenience they had caused. It was a shame I had to write to achieve this but I must give Zenith praise for the way they handled my complaint once it had been made. They called and were very apologetic and told me how they were going to put things right. The lady on the telephone sounded genuinely sorry and took on board my concerns regarding relying on a single letter only, being sent over the Christmas holidays and I feel that she genuinely listened and wanted to put things right. A rare experience these days, so well done Zenith!!

Will never go to this company again. The customer service is poor. They tried to write off my car when it was a 10 quid job to fix. They do not protect your no claims as they just change it as they see fit to get more money from you. Over all just avaid it.
