“I already had an expiring home insurance policy with LV, and the renewal price was significantly higher than as shown ( for the same cover) on Confused.com. I also have a multi policy discount for having a car policy with LV too, but was receiving repeated prompt emails from LV offering a 5% discount and a £35 voucher for taking out a car policy with them. As my renewal price was higher than shown on C.Com, plus the prompt e-mails, I concluded I therefore don't have any such discount applied. I phoned LV explaining the above conflicting information, and was told the discount is aplied, AND C.Com's prices already include the alleged discount. So I asked to be sent a new renewal letter showing the undiscounted policy price, and a breakdown to show the discount in order to make meaningful comparisons. LV refused this, and returned me to the switchboard, at the back of the queue. Not impressed.”
