Insurance serves its purpose until you need to make a claim that's when it shows it's true colour

Two levels of Home Insurance are offered, with both premiums competitive. I do hope I will not have to make a claim, but how they handle that situation will prove whether I have made a wise choice or not.

Thankfully I have not had to use it, although the issue in 2025, is the lack of flexibility with esure and their 'Chat' representative. It may be esure policy to not negotiate on their renewal pricing, but that is disgraceful, when I had paid a hefty premium in 2024 and wished to renew, without having made any form of a claim in the past 12 months, but I'm met with an approach from the insurer that they are totally unwilling to discount the price, which everyone knows they have the ability to do.......if only they wanted to! Insurance is a 'necessary evil', but the insurers have to balance-out the claims v premium receipts (in order to achieve their profits), however, if a customer seeks some discount, why can't they deal on a case-by-case basis and make that customer happy?
