“The only hiccup was paying. Halifax not only required debit card details from our Mastercard but also another cards details, or direct debit details. Halifax was the same as Lloyds re this. Whether this is an extra layer of security or to make it easier to renew, I am not sure? I contacted customer care and was told because I was using a Maestro Card, it was actually a Mastercard, I was required to enter another card or DD detais, very confusing.”
