“Input details on confused.com for car insurance with me as policy holder/registered keeper/owner, my daughter as main driver and my husband as a named driver. Selected Hastings and took out policy. Only on checking policy documents did it become clear that there was no mention of main driver. I phoned Hastings to check the position and they advised that it would be assumed that I was the main driver as I was the policyt holder. I have had to cancel the policy as it is, essentially, fronting, albeit not through any fault of mine, and start from scratch. There is clearly a mismatch between the data input on confused.com and the insurersw quoting. How many more people are in this position, unknowingly?”
