“Straightforward to make adjustments to cover online ( for example enhanced Breakdown cover ) at the time of taking out the policy. Also a good online portal allows you to make minor changes to cover once the policy is in force. My only beef with Hastings is that they hike the renewal price (so your loyalty is penalised and not rewarded). If you spec up the same cover online for a new policy it'll likely be 15% or 20% cheaper compared to the renewal price ( at least this is what I found ). So yes Hastings do seem to be OK ( although I have fortunately never had to make a claim ), but just watch the costs at renewal time.”
