“I wanted to change my car and Swinton gave me a quotation for the new one which included a refund from my existing insurance company. I found a cheaper quotation elsewhere but when I cancelled my existing policy my refund was reduced by £50! That more or less wiped out any advantage by changing. Swinton did not tell me about this beforehand and I can see no reason for such a charge! As far as AXA were aware I was leaving them and it would have been the same whether I'd stayed with Swinton or not. Its a fraud, that's what it is and I'll never go back to Swinton again.”
