“Had a no fault accident on 24 July. Car was unattended and parked on a garage forecourt at the time. Lots of witnesses and other driver admitted fault. Claim has still not been settled. Car repaired only yesterday, over a month after the incident. Initial contact was all through a solicitor. Had a claims manager and everything arranged, then got a call to say they weren't dealing with me after all and to contact M&S, who had no idea what was going on either. Total shambles.
Was made to pay excess even though non-fault. Need to renew by 4 September but as claim not settled showing on insurers systems as at-fault, so increasing premiums by over 400%. Took insurance with M&S as they are a household name but actual insurer is a company I have never heard of. What is the point of them acting as a broker when the internet provides the same service? DO NOT recommend.”
